The ARINC eFlyBook portable, electronic document viewer
is a major advancement in readability. For the first time, digital written
content can be read as easily and
conveniently as the printed word on paper in all light conditions — including
direct sunlight.
What’s more, ARINC has combined two revolutionary technologies: award-winning
chart viewing and compression software developed by MyAirplane.com with
the slim,
portable "e-paper" based eReader to produce an unprecedented
ability to clearly
view maps, charts, FAA documents and other subscriptions—and interact
with
documents, whether to make annotations or fill-out aviation forms.
All the documents you want at your fingertips
Besides a readability equivalent to that of paper, the portable easy-to-use
eFlyBook
has other highly-valued features for pilots. One is a stylus-based data
input
capability that allows handwritten annotations to documents. Another is
a WiFi link
that allows Internet access to download and upload content. This wireless
Internet
connectivity means you can have all the documents you want with you at
all times.
Read documents, interact with them and manage
them as well
The high-performance eFlyBook also includes a powerful Windows-based desktop
software
application that replicates the look and feel of the eFlyBook device on
your PC. This application provides a simple drag+drop content management
capability that
makes it easy to add your own documents to eFlyBook.
Readability.
The eFlyBook display screen technology makes it clearly
readable under all light conditions. Measuring 4.8 x 6.4
inches (8.1 inch diagonal), the ultra-thin monochrome
display provides 1024 x 768 pixel resolution at 16 levels
of gray (160 dpi).
Portability.
The truly portable eFlyBook is easily held in one hand,
takes up little room in your flight bag, weighs only
13.6 oz and runs for days on a single charge. At 6.1
inches wide x 8.5 inches high x .6 inches deep, it’s nearly
small enough to fit in your pocket.
The eFlyBook’s convenient size and portability deliver
benefits to the General Aviation community that include:
• Less paper means greater efficiency
and less weight on board.
• Up-to-date content minimizes potential
for errors.
• Low power consumption. Usable for
days on a single charge.
• Viewable in direct sunlight.
• Easy to update.
